Workbenches

Single or double sided and height adjustable laminar flow cabinets for procedures or cage-changing

  • Stay-Clean Workbench

The Stay-Clean Workbench provides Class 100 horizontal laminar flow air, and is designed for the manipulation, handling and transferring of animals to clean Micro-Isolator™ cages. HEPA filtered air (99.99% efficient to 0.3 micron particles) flows from the back of the workbench, pulling airborne particulate in from the cages and into the air intake on the front edge of the workbench. The air intake capture reduces personnel exposure to particulate escaping from the cages, helps protect animals from personnel and cross contamination between cages.

Available in standard and extra large size, with or without electric lift. Available in yellow

  • Stay-Clean Duplex Workbench

The Stay-Clean Duplex Workbench provides Class 100 laminar flow air and is designed for the manipulation, handling and transferring of animals to clean Micro-Isolator™ cages. HEPA filtered air (99.99% efficient to 0.3 micron particles) flows from the top of the workbench, pulling airborne particulate in from the cages and into the air intake around the perimeter of the work surface. The air intake capture reduces personnel exposure to particulate escaping from the cages, helps protect animals from personnel and cross contamination between cages. Both sides of this workbench can be used simultatiously.

  • Waste Management System

The Waste Management System is a mobile waste disposal station that uses air flow to help control airborne particulate generated when disposing of cage bedding and animal waste. It also provides reduced exposure for lab personnel when waste materials are sealed for removal. Air enters the work opening of the unit and passes over the disposal ports, capturing particulate generated by emptying cages. The air is then pulled through a two-stage pre-filter system, passes through the third-stage HEPA filter (99.99% efficient to 0.3 micron particles) and is returned into the room at the rear base of the unit. Bedding and animal waste pass through funnel-shaped ports where it is channeled into dual plastic lined bags or polyvinyl-lined burn boxes. The bags or boxes are sealed in the unit before removal from the system.
